For WAFER CHECK VALVES, WHEN FLUID FLOWS FROM LEFT TO LEFT, THE SPOOL OPENS TO FORM A PATH, AND WHEN FLOW IS REVERSED, THE SPOOL PRESSES AGAINST THE SEAT AND CLOSES.
